“Song opens the heart to the Holy Spirit. God descends into a heart which sings and gives it abundant grace.” St. Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort

Since 1975, the members of the Emmanuel Community have loved to gather to pray, praise and celebrate the Lord in the graces of the Charismatic Renewal at the heart of the Catholic Church. Seeking songs that can express the joy of faith, for praise they at first drew on the repertory of songs from the American Charismatic Renewal, then, for liturgy, from those of Father André Gouzes.

Rapidly, several brothers and sisters felt a call in their turn to compose songs according to the particular inspiration of the Emmanuel Community. In this way there was born the collection of the famous “Green Book”, which is widely diffused today.

A whole team of lay people, priests, and brothers and sisters consecrated in celibacy is entrusted with collecting, translating and adapting the compositions, which are now international, so as to make them available to everybody.

Over thirty years the Emmanuel Community has acquired an experience of this field, which it desires to transmit to others.

The team makes itself available to organize training sessions for the members of the Emmanuel Community, but also more widely for all those who are involved in liturgical animation.

The team takes charge of the musical and liturgical animation of the missions of the Emmanuel Community, such as the Summer Sessions, the International Congress of Evangelisation, and various international Forums, etc.

This site is therefore designed so that you can more easily get to know us, be better informed about new items and have easier access to the music and liturgy services you need.
