Youth are naturally generous
and have a hard time dealing with injustice. They’re ready to move mountains
for something they believe in. That’s why voluntary organisations like Fidesco
(give it a try !) appeal to today’s youth. In day-to-day life there’s no
lack of suffering…
At Paray-le-Monial Jesus
revealed his Sacred Heart, gentle and humble from which flow mercy and
compassion for man. It is when we plunge ourselves into the riches of the Heart
of Christ through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament that the generosity and
reactions to the injustices witnessed become real.
This reality is also lived
through ideas like Macadam Café, where people have felt the need to go
out and meet the homeless with a cup of coffee and a bit of time. There are
also visits to hospitals, prisons, schools, missions at Christmas time, etc… to
meet the people face to face and heart to heart whether on campus in the
neighbourhoods or in families.
Compassion is God’s
attitude
