Internatonal Schools of Evangelization

The international schools of evangelization : Paray-Le-Monial (E.I.F.E.), Altötting (I.M.E. with a musical approach) were born from a need expressed both by the youth of the community and many others for religious formation.

The EMMANUEL SCHOOL OF MISSION (ESM) was created on the request of the Pontifical Council for the Laity and is run by the Emmanuel Community.

The educational mission of the schools rests on four pillars :

  • communal life,
  • prayer,
  • intellectual and spiritual formation
  • evangelisation at the service of the Church.

To assure that the students learn how to exercise true freedom, they are guided by a companion.

Daily life at the schools is divided into four hours (two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon) of instruction on the fundamentals :

  • the faith
  • spirituality
  • the Bible,
  • the Church
  • philosophy

In addition, language courses are also proposed prior to the beginning of the school for those who do not speak German (IAE, IME) or French (EIFE).

The schools organize and carry on numerous initiatives of evangelization :

  • parish missions
  • visits to schools (school visits)
  • pilgrimages, etc.
