This year there will be some important events in the Church of an international character: the World Youth Day (WYD) in July in Sydney, Australia and the International Eucharistic Congress in Quebec, Canada. The Emmanuel Community is participating in these two great gatherings and is inviting all its friends.

You will find all the necessary information about participating in the WYD to the right of this page and the 49th Eucharistic Congress under the title "Sessions and Retreats" (on the left of this page).

The Eucharist is the centre of Emmanuel life. In this Sacrament God gives himself to us. It is really "Emmanuel", God with us. Today is the feast of Corpus Christi, the Body of Christ! happy feastday to all!

The experience of meeting the Holy Spirit is in fact one of the foundational graces of the life of Emmanuel. By his Spirit, God renews each baptised person in order to make him or her a witness. What happened two thousand years ago at Pentecost is renewed every day. God sends his Spirit to the Church and makes her new.

We invite you to also experience the outpouring of the Love of God by participating this summer at one of the numerous sessions that the Emmanuel Community is organizing at Paray-le-Monial. These sessions in the middle of the summer are a true spiritual  Retreat for the whole family, a renewal of Christian life for all : youth, couples, singles, families, separated or divorced people, children, grandparents... Every year about 30,000 people converge on Paray-le-Monial to live 5 days of a heart to heart relationship with God, who comes very close to them. They are with Emmanuel, God-with-us.
